Baby Kayden

Ken and I are in love with our new baby girl! It is amazing how you struggle with infertility for more than a year and then in a days time, the Lord blesses you to end the struggle. I know that physically Ken and I will possibly deal with infertiltity for the rest of our lives, and that is okay, but having a daughter now makes all of that seem so insignificant. I now know that all along we only wanted to be parents, no matter how God saw fit to do so.

When Kayden was handed to us at the agency on last week, the feeling was overwhelming...I guess something close to what a pregnant woman feels after she has labored and been given her newborn to hold for the first time. As we drove home, I begin to immediately think about our adoption by Jesus Christ and the fact that each of us came to Him as an "infant"....hallelujah! What an amazing experience...makes me want to adopt again...REAL soon!

I've posted on here once before. I found your website somehow. We're also talking about adoption as a way to start our family (due to infertility). Congrats on growing your family! Have you read "Successful Adoption: A Guide for Christian Families"? I just picked it up yesterday and it's a GREAT read! -- Amanda (mandirae23@yahoo.com)

Sooo true. The feeling is so overwhelmingly beautiful! Everytime I read or hear about someone who brings meets their new child through the gift of adoption, I am reminded of when we met our Gavin for the first time. At that moment it all made sense, how people say they carried their adopted child in their heart. As he grew and we bonded more, I realized that didnt need or want to be pregnant, I wanted to be a mother, and that was way more important. How I became a mother did not matter.
Congratulations, enjoy every moment with your baby Kayden (beautiful name by the way).
